35 Short Prayers for Good Weather

Weather affects nearly every aspect of our daily lives—our work, our travel, our celebrations, our crops, our safety, and even the simple rhythms of outdoor living. Scripture shows us that God holds authority over the wind, the rain, the clouds, and the seasons.

He commands the storm to quiet, brings dew to nourish the land, and sends sunshine to warm the earth. When we pray for good weather, we are not making a small or insignificant request; we are acknowledging that God is sovereign over creation and attentive to the needs of His children.

Throughout the Bible, God consistently reveals His power through the elements. He parted the Red Sea, sent rain in response to Elijah’s prayer, shut the heavens during judgment, and used storms to reveal His glory. The same God who controls the universe also cares deeply about your day-to-day needs—whether you are preparing for a journey, planning an event, tending crops, or simply hoping for peaceful skies. Prayer invites God into these practical details, reminding us that nothing is too big or too small for His loving involvement.

Good weather brings safety, productivity, joy, and peace. It enables gatherings to run smoothly, journeys to be completed safely, and daily tasks to unfold without disruption. When we lift prayers for favorable weather, we are opening our hands to God’s provision, trusting Him to align the skies with His goodness and timing. These prayers can bring comfort during storms, hope during uncertain forecasts, and gratitude during clear days.

This collection of short prayers is crafted to help you call on God confidently—whether you need calm skies, gentle rain, cool breezes, or protection from severe conditions. Each prayer is simple, sincere, and rooted in the understanding that God hears every request. As you pray, may your heart be reminded of God’s faithfulness and His ability to bring peace to both your circumstances and your spirit.

May these prayers guide you into deeper trust, renewed hope, and a fresh awareness of God’s presence in the world around you. No matter what the skies look like today, God remains your refuge, your provider, and the One who speaks peace over the weather and over your life.
